Disappearing Nine-Patch
This is a fun way to learn about quilt making! We will be using basic piecing skills and simple squares to make a stunning one-day quilt top. Color play, sub-cutting, and other great beginner skills will bring your piecing to the next level!
We will be making a baby size quilt top that finishes approx. 41" x 48".
You'll need 1.5 yd for backing and 3/8 yd for binding.

Note: All fabrics should be 100% quilting cotton.
For this quilt, you will need:
- (32) 5" squares for focus print OR (1) charm pack OR 5/8 yd
- (32) 5" squares for background OR (1) charm pack OR 5/8 yd
- (8) 5" squares for accent / pop color OR 1/4 yd
- 1/2 yd for 3" border
- sewing machine and accessories, power cord, foot control, etc
- 1/4" foot, all-purpose foot
- coordinating thread for piecing (50wt cotton preferred, all-purpose is okay)
- 1-2 filled bobbins
- quilting pins & pincushion
- rotary cutter & mat
- quilt ruler (I recommend 6"x24" for cutting strips and 12.5" sq for squaring up, but bring what you have!)
- scissors or snips
- *optional: small ironing board and travel iron. Not required!*
