Orphan Block Workshop: Tote Bag
Got a block?
Don't let it sit there unused and forlorn-- give it a new life as a tote! In this course I'll show you how to turn your unused quilt block into a treasure of a bag. BYOB = Bring your own block..! ;)
This bag works well for 10"-12" finished blocks, but I will show you how to adapt it to fit your block of any size. Because of all this variation, the yardage suggested is an approximation. Use your judgment!
You will need:
- (1) completed quilt block
- 1/4 yd for borders on smaller blocks *optional
- 5/8 yd outer bag fabric
- 1/2 yd lining fabric
Want to be fancy? Add a zipper pocket!
- 9"-14" zipper
- (1) FQ for pocket lining
