ByAnnie Bag Series: The Sewist
Give yourself the gift of glamorous storage with these ideal sewing bags! I chose these bags because (I love them...) every sewing queen (and king) needs these in their menagerie of bags. These classes will involve essential techniques that will make your bag sewing journey fun and rewarding:
- quilting with Soft & Stable
- sewing with clear vinyl and colorful mesh
- installing a bag zipper
- creating bias binding
- flawless topstitching
- assembling thick layers
- labeling and organizing cuts of fabric
- PLUS, see how to plan & coordinate your set of bags..!
For this series, you will need the following ByAnnie patterns:
- Take A Stand (April 16)
- Running with Scissors (May 28)
- Ruler Wrap (June 11)
- A Place for Everything 2.0 (July 23)
In addition to the bag supplies, don't forget to bring...
- sewing machine and accessories (walking foot, 1/4" foot, all purpose foot, etc)
- pins / wonder clips
- marking pen / chalk
- stiletto
- all purpose thread and bobbins
- new sz 14 machine needle
- 1/8" basting tape *optional, for zipper installation
- scissors, rotary cutter, rulers, etc.
Note: Because these bags are *intermediate*, we will be doing some of the prep work required before class. Don't worry! As we get closer to the class dates, I will provide you with videos and advice about how to accomplish the cutting and quilting before we get together to sew up these bags.
