IQ Designer Class

For our last IQ class of this year, we will be making Holiday placemats!  In this exercise, you will learn how to make an applique, layer fills, how to utilize those great embroidery frame designs and how to attach your backing all in the hoop.  This will be a design you will use over and over again for every holiday and season.

What do you need?

1.  Holiday design of your choice, either purchased or use one of the beautiful embroidery designs right on your machine. (I used OESD Christmas Sihouettes for one and Hoopsisters Christmas Placemat designs for the other)

2.  12.5"x18" fabric for front of placemat

3.  12.5"x18" fusible fleece

4.  1/3 yard for backing

5.  Scrap piece of fabric about 7"x7" for applique piece

6.  Embroidery thread that matches your fabric

7.  Your largest hoop for your machine (Not your magnetic one)

8. Typical embroidery notions (embroidery scissors, bobbin thread, mesh stabilizer)
