Tamarack Jacket 2-part Workshop

This pattern is perfect for intermediate sewists with experience using their sewing machines.

Students, please bring:

• sewing machine with accessories, power cord, foot control, the following presser feet: all purpose, walking foot
• new sz 14 needle
• thread to coordinate
• your Tamarack Jacket pattern
• fabric & batting as listed in pattern
• closure (heavy duty snaps, separating zipper, etc)
• marking tool (chalk, Frixion pen, etc)
• scissors, pins, common notions

Some helpful notions you might like:

• stiletto
• basting glue
• wonder clips or pins
• scissors

What to expect:

BEFORE CLASS please (consult with me if needed!) measure for your sizing and try to have the pattern traced & cut-- this will help us make good progress in our first session! :)

Session 1:
- planning our dream coats + pocket drafting
- cutting fabric/batting/lining to quilt
- laying out common designs (like diamonds, etc)
- cutting & preparing bias binding
- quilting as much as we can..!
- homework assignment: complete the quilting/cutting components

Yes, there's homework!

Session 2:
- assembly + binding
- attach pockets, closures
- fashion show..! ;)
