Foundation Paper Piecing Class
Have you ever seen a perfectly pieced block and wondered how they did it? Chances are it is paper pieced! We will be making this star block that you can turn into a pillow or make several to make a table runner or even a quilt.
I will be providing the printed papers you will need to make one block as well as a copy of the free pattern.
You will need:
- 1/4 yard background fabric, and scraps equivalent to 1 yard of fabric for the star and outside border. Scraps would be great if if you would like the same look as the sample. Also, we are here to help you pick out fabrics if you need.
- a sewing machine with any feet and attachments you will need
- fresh needle (80/12 Microtex is my favorite)
- 50 wt. thread of your choice that coordinates with your fabrics and a couple of wound bobbins
- basic sewing notions (rotary cutter, seam ripper, scissors, etc.)
- We will have cutting mats and irons and ironing boards, but if you would like to bring your own, feel free!
- wonderclips
- Add-A-Quarter Ruler
