Heart-Shaped Oven Mitts
This is a great Sewing 101 course where students learn to make practical items to use at home.
Embrace the urban homestead culture while learning the timeless hands-on craft of sewing! This practical pair of oven mitts makes a beautiful handmade gift or a simple addition to your own kitchen. Enjoy the process of choosing your own fabrics for this class!
You will need:
- sewing machine and accessories
- walking foot
- new size 14 needle
- fabric scissors, pins, wonder clips, marking tools, etc
- rotary cutter & ruler *optional
- hand-sewing needle
Supplies required for this project:
- (2) 1/2 yd cuts of quilting cotton *make sure you like them together!
- 1/2 yd Insul-Brite
- 1/2 yd quilt batting like Warm & Natural (NOT hand-sewing batting)
- all purpose thread to coordinate with fabrics
I will provide the printed pattern for this class. Students will receive an emailed PDF of instructions. :)
