IQ Designer Workshop: Quilting Concepts
Participants may choose to attend without bringing their machines to follow along. We understand that these machines can be cumbersome, so I will have a floor model Altair 2 to demonstrate the IQ techniques with. Feel free to take notes, pictures, videos, etc. but try not to hinder our progress too much. :)
You need:
- IQ Designer machine at home: all Baby Lock Radiance, Altair, Meridian, Solaris, and Destiny models.
- USB for saved design content to try at home
Participants who would like to use their own machine to complete the sample project will need a few additional items.
To sew along, you'll need:
- IQ Designer machine: all Baby Lock Radiances, Altairs, Meridians, Solaris, and Destiny models.
- USB for saved design content to bring home.
- 2-3 quilt blocks of your choice (Think simple, like 4-patch, 9-patch, flying geese, etc)
- lightweight cutaway stabilizer (like Power Mesh Cutaway from Floriani or even muslin fabric)
- scrap batting will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you'd like.
- habits for soft quilts (longer stitches and open designs)
- ideas for refined custom quilting
