JANOME Quilting E2E in the hoop!

Grab your embroidery machine... let's quilt! Whether you're completing a pile of unfinished quilt tops or preparing for projects like quilted coats and bags, quilting is a fun and essential skill you'll love to learn. Let your machine do the work! Please note you need a Janome embroidery machine for this class.

Students, please bring:

• Janome embroidery machine, hoops & accessories
• USB stick (just in case!)
• magnetic hoops *option for some models*
• quilt sandwich (details below)
• coordinating thread & bobbins
• Organ sz. 12-14 needles
• E2E design of your choice (good ones listed below)

Preparing your quilt sandwich:
For this class you can quilt an item of your choice. Please follow the sizing guidelines, as this will make your stitch out much more pleasant!

Quilt "top" may consist of any cotton fabric, panel, pieced or whole. Ideal size for this class would be 3/4 yd of 45" wide fabric.
Quilt backing may consist of any cotton fabric 10-12" larger than your quilt top. Ideal size for this class would be 1.25 yd of 60" wide fabric.
Batting may consist of any machine quilting batting 3-4" larger than your quilt top. Ideal size for this class would be 36"w x 50"h. You may zig-zag scrap batting together to achieve the size you need.

*This is practice, so please DO NOT bring...
- important quilts that you intend to be gifts
- t-shirt quilts
- huge queen/king sized quilts
- soft & stable or other specialty battings
- cuddle or minky fabric
- flannel, denim
... or any unconventional stuff... you'll get there, but we need to learn first! ;)

Now you need a design!
This is the most fun part... shopping! If you already have edge-to-edge embroidery designs, simply save them to your USB stick and bring them to class. Here are some suggestions, but please contact me if you have trouble. Remember we have to consider maximum hoop size when buying designs.
