Mondo Bag Class
Create the beautiful, timeless patchwork Mondo tote bag with Trudy! She's sharing her expertise, tips and tricks to make your first Mondo bag your favorite one!
Students should bring:
- sewing machine with accessories
- 1/4" foot, walking foot
- pattern: Mondo Bag Fun Pack includes required interfacing
- fabric and lining (see pattern)
> Example: one jellyroll will make 2 Mondo Bags! You can be creative with how you achieve the 2.5" squares. Please use quilting cotton. - batting (Trudy recommends Soft & Stable for a bag that stands up well!)
- coordinating thread for piecing and quilting, extra bobbins
- fresh size 14 needle
- scissors, pins/clips, seam ripper, common sewing notions
Before class: - cut (192) 2.5" squares ahead of time
- If you're comfortable with your Stripology ruler, you may be quick enough to cut in the class.
