Make your Own Tuffet Class

Join Debbie, the knowledgeable and hilarious Tuffet lady! She'll have you wanting to make everyone a tuffet for Christmas--! Choose your favorite quilting cotton for a coordinated or funky result. The kit is included!

This course is executed in two sessions.

SESSION 1

Bring your sewing machine and get hands-on demo/instructions on creating the pieced wedges. You'll have a little homework, so make sure to take good notes today! Please bring:

• sewing machine & accessories
• all purpose foot
• all purpose thread (40-50wt for piecing) and a bobbin ready to go
• pins
• scissors
• rotary cutter & mat, 18" ruler recommended
• Add-A-Quarter Ruler (long version)
• fabrics for tuffet wedges: 64 strips 2" x 22" OR one Jelly Roll *plan to have approx. 6" square for the covered button portion.
• muslin 1.25yd of 45" wide
• pattern: Pieced 18" Tuffet by Tuffet Source (available here in the shop!)
• 18" square (dark color) to cover underside of base

SESSION 2

This will be a day for assembling the stool itself; no machine required. Debbie will have the tufting needles & staple gun ready to turn your weird little fabric bowl into a beautiful tuffet! ;)
Please bring:

• pieced & assembled wedges
• the large button, covered with your choice of fabric
